  1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently in the blood bank microbiology department.
  2. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure quality and accuracy of test results.
  3. Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  4. Keep detailed and accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during testing.
  6. Handle and process biological specimens with utmost care and adherence to safety protocols.
  7. Keep up-to-date with new techniques and procedures in the field of blood bank microbiology.
  8. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain the highest level of accuracy and precision.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt) By A Recognized Accrediting Agency Such As Ascp Or Amt

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Blood Bank Or Microbiology Laboratory Setting

  • Proficient In A Variety Of Laboratory Techniques And Equipment Used In Blood Bank And Microbiology Testing, Including Automated Systems And Manual Procedures

  • Strong Knowledge Of Blood Bank And Microbiology Principles, Procedures, And Regulations, As Well As The Ability To Interpret And Analyze Test Results Accurately.
