- Manage and organize medical information resources, including books, journals, databases, and online resources
- Provide timely and accurate research assistance to healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients
- Develop and implement information literacy programs for staff and patients
- Stay abreast of current and emerging medical information trends and technologies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and researchers to identify and fulfill their information needs
- Maintain and update the library's collection, ensuring that resources are relevant and up-to-date
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a user-friendly library website
- Participate in library outreach activities and promote library services to the Mayo Clinic community
- Train and supervise library staff and interns
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and vendors to acquire relevant resources and services
- Ensure compliance with copyright laws and licensing agreements
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of special events and exhibits to promote the library and its resources
- Conduct regular evaluations of library services and resources to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in medical librarianship.
Master's Degree In Library And Information Science (Mlis) From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Medical Library Or Health Sciences Library Setting.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Databases, And Resources Commonly Used In Healthcare And Research.
Familiarity With Evidence-Based Practice And Ability To Conduct Literature Searches And Provide Research Support.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Healthcare Professionals And Researchers.
