- Provide administrative support to medical staff, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including medical history, test results, and insurance information.
- Coordinate patient care by communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient treatment.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from patients and their families in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Manage patient billing, including verifying insurance coverage, processing payments, and addressing billing questions or concerns.
- Assist with the coordination of medical procedures and treatments, including scheduling appointments, obtaining pre-authorizations, and coordinating follow-up care.
- Ensure compliance with all medical and legal regulations, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies for the medical facility, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new procedures and technologies.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive and welcoming environment for all patients and staff.
Associate's Degree In Medical Office Administration Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Medical Administrative Role.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Coding, And Insurance Processes.
Proficiency In Using Electronic Health Records (Ehr) Systems And Other Office Software.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information With Professionalism And Discretion.
