Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Candidate For This Position Must Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Infectious Diseases By The American Board Of Internal Medicine (Abim) Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Internal Medicine (Aobim).

  • Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In The Field Of Infectious Diseases, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Setting.

  • Research Experience: Mayo Clinic Values Physician-Scientists Who Can Contribute To Cutting-Edge Research In The Field Of Infectious Diseases. Therefore, A Strong Research Background, Including Publications And Grant Funding, Is Preferred.

  • Interpersonal Skills: As A Physician At Mayo Clinic, The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients. Additionally, The Ability To Work In A Multidisciplinary Team Is Essential For Success In This Role.
