  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R systems to ensure they are running efficiently and effectively.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC/R systems and develop effective solutions.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to schedule and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
  4. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards while working on HVAC/R systems.
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  6. Monitor and respond to issues with temperature and humidity levels in patient care areas.
  7. Respond to emergency calls and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in HVAC/R technology.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors regarding HVAC/R issues and maintenance schedules.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  11. Train and mentor new HVAC/R technicians as needed.
  12. Proactively identify potential issues with HVAC/R systems and take appropriate actions to prevent breakdowns or malfunctions.
  13. Ensure all necessary tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.
  14. Collaborate with external contractors as needed for more complex repairs or installations.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of Mayo Clinic while representing the organization in a professional manner.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required For This Position. Additional Education Or Certifications In Hvac/R Is Preferred.

  • Hvac/R Experience: Minimum Of 2 Years Of Hands-On Experience In Hvac/R Installation, Maintenance, And Repair Is Required. Experience With Commercial And Industrial Systems Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Hvac/R Systems: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Hvac/R Systems, Including Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation, And Air Conditioning. They Should Be Familiar With Different Types Of Systems And Their Components.

  • Technical Skills: Candidates Must Possess Strong Technical Skills To Diagnose, Troubleshoot, And Repair Hvac/R Systems. They Should Be Able To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals, Blueprints, And Schematics.

  • Certifications: Candidates Should Hold Relevant Certifications, Such As Epa 608 Universal, Nate, Or Hvac Excellence, To Demonstrate Their Knowledge And Expertise In The Field. Additional Certifications In Specific Areas, Such As Refrigeration Or Air Conditioning, Are Also Desirable.
