  1. Develop and implement information security protocols and procedures to safeguard Mayo Clinic's valuable information assets.
  2. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement.
  3. Monitor and analyze security alerts and events, and respond promptly to any potential security breaches or threats.
  4. Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure security measures are integrated into all technology systems and processes.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in information security, and make recommendations for implementing new technologies and strategies.
  6. Train and educate staff on security protocols and best practices to ensure compliance and reduce risks.
  7. Investigate and resolve security incidents, and provide timely and accurate reporting to management.
  8. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization's ability to respond to and recover from any security incidents.
  9. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to other team members on complex security issues.
  10. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure compliance with security regulations and standards.
  11. Stay current on all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to information security in the healthcare industry.
  12. Participate in regular meetings and presentations to provide updates on security initiatives and address any concerns or questions.
  13. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to foster a culture of security awareness and cooperation.
  14. Serve as a mentor and coach to junior team members and provide guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve security processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of protection for Mayo Clinic's information assets.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Information Security, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Professional Certifications Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Cisa.

  • Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Standards, Including Hipaa, Hitech, And Nist.

  • Experience With Risk Assessment And Management, Incident Response, And Implementing Security Controls And Processes.
