- Provide administrative support to the Adult Cardiac Surgery/Heart Transplant ICU unit.
- Coordinate and organize patient care activities, including scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care.
- Monitor and maintain unit supplies, equipment, and inventory.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Health Unit Coordinator In The Adult Cardiac Surg/Heart Transplant Icu At Mayo Clinic Must Possess A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education To Demonstrate Basic Knowledge And Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Office Procedures.
Certification As A Health Unit Coordinator (Chuc): This Is A Nationally Recognized Certification That Demonstrates Proficiency In Medical Terminology, Medical Office Procedures, And Communication Skills. Having This Certification Would Make An Applicant Stand Out As A Qualified Candidate For The Job.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: A Health Unit Coordinator In This Role Should Have Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Cardiac Surgery Or Heart Transplant Unit.
