  1. Conduct research in the field of [specific area of research] under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and other senior researchers.
  2. Assist in designing and conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results.
  3. Contribute to the development of new research projects and proposals.
  4. Keep accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures, data, and results.
  5. Troubleshoot and problem-solve experimental issues as they arise.
  6. Stay updated on current literature and research findings in the field.
  7. Attend lab meetings, seminars, and conferences to present research findings and discuss progress with other lab members.
  8. Collaborate with other lab members and external collaborators on research projects.
  9. Maintain lab equipment, order and organize supplies, and ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  10. Participate in the training and supervision of new lab members, such as undergraduate students or interns.
  11. Follow lab protocols and safety procedures at all times.
  12. Prepare and present research findings in written reports and oral presentations.
  13. Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.
  14. Adhere to all ethical guidelines and regulations in conducting research.
  15. Represent the Medina lab and the Mayo Clinic in a professional and positive manner.
  16. Continuously develop and improve research skills and knowledge through self-directed learning and participation in training opportunities.
  17. Contribute to the overall success and growth of the Medina lab by actively engaging in team meetings and discussions.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator or other senior lab members.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Or Ph.d. Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Biochemistry, Or Genetics.

  • Prior Experience In Conducting Independent Research Projects, Preferably In A Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Design And Execute Experiments.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With A Track Record Of Presenting Research Findings At Conferences Or Publishing In Peer-Reviewed Journals.
