
Graduate Engineering Intern - Electronics
The Mayo Clinic is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Graduate Engineering Intern - Electronics to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in engineering, and a passion for learning new technologies and applying them to real-world applications. The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of Mayo Clinic staff, including engineers, clinicians, and researchers.Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, excellent knowledge of electronics and circuitry, experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, and the willingness to learn new technologies quickly. The successful candidate must also have strong problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will bring enthusiasm and creativity to the Mayo Clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative, cost-effective electronic systems and solutions for Mayo Clinic staff.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify circuit designs.
- Test and troubleshoot electronic systems to ensure proper operation.
- Research and evaluate new technologies to determine their applicability to Mayo Clinic needs.
- Make recommendations to improve existing electronic systems.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, clinicians, and researchers.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Mayo Clinic staff.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
- Follow all safety regulations when working with electronics.
