Job Description

The Mayo Clinic is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Graduate Engineering Intern - Electronics to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in engineering, and a passion for learning new technologies and applying them to real-world applications. The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of Mayo Clinic staff, including engineers, clinicians, and researchers.Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, excellent knowledge of electronics and circuitry, experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, and the willingness to learn new technologies quickly. The successful candidate must also have strong problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will bring enthusiasm and creativity to the Mayo Clinic.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop innovative, cost-effective electronic systems and solutions for Mayo Clinic staff.
  2. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify circuit designs.
  3. Test and troubleshoot electronic systems to ensure proper operation.
  4. Research and evaluate new technologies to determine their applicability to Mayo Clinic needs.
  5. Make recommendations to improve existing electronic systems.
  6. Work collaboratively with engineers, clinicians, and researchers.
  7. Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  8. Provide technical support and guidance to Mayo Clinic staff.
  9. Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
  10. Follow all safety regulations when working with electronics.
