  1. Conduct patient consultations and examinations to diagnose and treat various gastrointestinal disorders.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including medication management, lifestyle changes, and surgical interventions.
  3. Perform and interpret various diagnostic tests, such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies.
  4. Collaborate with other medical professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  5. Stay up-to-date on advancements in gastroenterology and incorporate new techniques and technology into practice.
  6. Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and confidentiality.
  9. Participate in departmental and interdepartmental conferences, grand rounds, and other educational opportunities to share knowledge and expertise.
  10. Actively engage in research and clinical trials to advance the field of gastroenterology.
  11. Mentor and supervise residents, fellows, and medical students in training.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (Md Or Do) From An Accredited Institution

  • Completion Of An Accredited Residency Program In Internal Medicine

  • Board Certification In Gastroenterology From The American Board Of Internal Medicine

  • Fellowship Training In Gastroenterology, With Additional Training In Advanced Endoscopy And A Sub-Specialty Area Such As Inflammatory Bowel Disease Or Hepatology.

  • Active And Unrestricted Medical License In The State Of Practice, With The Ability To Obtain Necessary Licenses In Other States As Needed.
