
Faculty Position in Epidemiology
Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and innovative individual to join our faculty in the Division of Epidemiology as a full-time, tenure-track faculty member. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong background in epidemiology and a passion for teaching and research. We seek an individual with exceptional communication skills, who will be a dedicated mentor and role model to our students. The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in epidemiology or a related field, postdoctoral experience, and a record of scholarly publications. Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing epidemiologic studies, and a track record of obtaining and managing research funding are also important requirements. We also value experience in teaching epidemiology at the undergraduate and graduate level. The successful candidate should have experience working in interdisciplinary research teams, and demonstrate an understanding of the ethical and legal issues related to epidemiology research.
Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and analyze epidemiologic studies • Obtain and manage research funding • Teach epidemiology at the undergraduate and graduate level • Mentor and serve as a role model to students • Demonstrate an understanding of ethical and legal issues related to epidemiology research • Collaborate and innovate within a research team • Publish scholarly papers in epidemiology or related fields
