Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the Mayo Clinic team! As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to keep the facilities in excellent working condition. The ideal candidate is a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills. The successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and at least five years of experience in a similar role. They should have knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and other facilities maintenance activities. Additionally, they must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in a team environment, has the ability to take initiative and work with a sense of urgency, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and repair facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.
  2. Handle emergency calls in a timely manner and respond to customer service requests.
  3. Inspect and diagnose problems with the facility's equipment and systems.
  4. Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities with other departments and contractors.
  5. Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations.
  6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  7. Keep work areas clean and organized.
  8. Provide technical support and advice to other team members.
  9. Identify and report any potential safety hazards.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and contractors to complete projects.
