This vital role requires a knowledgeable and motivated individual with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology or a related field.   1. Develop and implement individualized exercise plans for patients, based on their specific medical needs and goals.
  2. Utilize knowledge of exercise science to assess patients' physical abilities, limitations, and health conditions in order to create safe and effective exercise plans.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and promote overall wellness.
  4. Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, safety precautions, and healthy lifestyle habits to support long-term success.
  5. Monitor and track patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their exercise plans as needed.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, exercise plans, and progress reports.
  7. Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in exercise science and use this knowledge to continually improve patient care.
  8. Provide guidance and support to patients throughout their exercise journey, including motivation and encouragement.
  9. Adhere to all necessary safety protocols and procedures while working with patients.
  10. Represent Mayo Clinic in a professional and compassionate manner, consistently upholding the institution's values and mission.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American College Of Sports Medicine (Acsm) Or The National Strength And Conditioning Association (Nsca).

  • Experience Working With A Diverse Population, Including Individuals With Chronic Diseases Or Disabilities.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Exercise Physiology, Anatomy, And Biomechanics.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Educate And Motivate Patients Towards Achieving Their Health And Fitness Goals.
