- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors by following established cleaning protocols.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as dusting, mopping, and disinfecting, in patient rooms, offices, and common areas.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of medical equipment and supplies.
- Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of rooms for various events and meetings.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and address any urgent situations that may arise.
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a high level of hygiene in all areas.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to ensure a seamless and efficient cleaning process.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: An Environmental Services Technician At Mayo Clinic Must Have At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Be Considered For The Job.
Previous Experience In Environmental Services: Prior Experience In Environmental Services, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Proper Cleaning Procedures And Handling Of Hazardous Materials.
Strong Attention To Detail: As An Environmental Services Technician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Maintaining A Clean And Sanitary Environment For Patients And Staff. This Includes Being Able To Identify And Properly Clean High-Touch Areas And Using The Correct Cleaning Products For Different Surfaces.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Job Requires Frequent Bending, Lifting, And Standing For Extended Periods Of Time. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks With Ease.
Strong Communication Skills: Environmental Services Technicians Often Interact With Patients, Visitors, And Other Staff Members. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Important For Providing Excellent Customer Service And Relaying Important Information To The Team.
