  1. Perform endoscopy procedures with precision and attention to detail, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
  2. Maintain and operate endoscopy equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting according to established protocols.
  3. Prepare and assist with patient care during endoscopy procedures, including positioning and monitoring vital signs.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care, including communicating any changes in patient status or concerns.
  5. Accurately document and maintain patient records, including procedure notes and any relevant information.
  6. Maintain inventory of endoscopy supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper functioning for procedures.
  7. Adhere to established infection control and safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and advancements in endoscopy procedures.
  9. Provide support and assistance to physicians and other healthcare professionals during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth workflow.
  10. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor with patients and their families, providing education and support as needed.
  11. Adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and privacy.
  12. Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced Endoscopy Technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
  13. Proactively identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  14. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the quality of patient care and optimize efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.

  • Minimum Of Two Years Experience As An Endoscopy Technician In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Certification As A Gi Technician Or Endoscopy Technician Through A Recognized National Organization, Such As The Society Of Gastroenterology Nurses And Associates (Sgna).

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Endoscopy Procedures, Equipment, And Infection Control Protocols.

  • Ability To Assist With Complex Endoscopic Procedures, Such As Ercp And Eus, Under The Supervision Of A Physician.
