  1. Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by setting up equipment, preparing patients, and providing technical support.
  2. Ensure the comfort and safety of patients during endoscopic procedures by monitoring vital signs and responding to any patient needs or concerns.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized endoscopy suite, including sterilization of equipment and proper disposal of waste materials.
  4. Document and maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and supply inventory.
  5. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care.
  6. Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure instructions and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
  7. Stay up-to-date on new developments and techniques in endoscopy and assist with the implementation of new procedures or equipment.
  8. Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to patients.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in endoscopy techniques and procedures.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families by addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and empathetic manner.
  13. Assist with scheduling and coordinating endoscopic procedures and follow-up appointments.
  14. Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate coding and documentation for procedures.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and a strong work ethic.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: The Candidate Should Have A Valid Certification As An Endoscopy Technician From A Recognized Organization, Such As The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Relevant Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As An Endoscopy Technician In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting Is Required. Candidates With Experience In A Specialized Area, Such As Gastroenterology Or Pulmonology, Will Be Given Preference.

  • Knowledge Of Equipment And Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Various Endoscopic Procedures And Be Proficient In Handling And Troubleshooting Endoscopy Equipment, Such As Endoscopes, Biopsy Forceps, And Suction Devices.

  • Attention To Detail: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure Accurate Patient Identification, Proper Handling And Labeling Of Specimens, And Documentation Of Procedures.

  • Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As Work Collaboratively With A Team To Ensure Smooth And Efficient Patient Care During Endoscopic Procedures.
