  1. Develop and implement emergency management plans and procedures in alignment with state and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards for the organization.
  3. Collaborate with various departments to ensure emergency preparedness and response strategies are integrated into daily operations.
  4. Train and educate staff on emergency response protocols and procedures.
  5. Coordinate and lead emergency drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency plans.
  6. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in emergency management to continuously improve the organization's preparedness.
  7. Maintain relationships with external agencies and partners to facilitate effective communication and coordination during emergencies.
  8. Monitor and report on the organization's compliance with emergency management regulations and standards.
  9. Develop and maintain an emergency supplies inventory and ensure timely replenishment.
  10. Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external agencies during emergency situations.
  11. Communicate and disseminate emergency information to staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
  12. Conduct post-event debriefings and evaluations to identify areas for improvement in emergency response.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information related to emergency management.
  14. Act as a leader and role model for emergency preparedness and response within the organization.
  15. Remain on-call and available to respond to emergency situations outside of regular business hours as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Health, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Emergency Management Protocols And Procedures.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Coordinate And Collaborate With Multiple Departments And Agencies.

  • Certification In Emergency Management, Such As Certified Emergency Manager (Cem) Or Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (Chep), Is Preferred.
