- Develop and deliver educational programs and materials to healthcare professionals within the Transfusion Lab at Mayo Clinic.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in transfusion laboratory operations and incorporate this knowledge into educational materials and programs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of educational content.
- Design and implement training programs for new employees and ongoing education for current employees.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of educational programs and make necessary improvements.
- Serve as a resource for staff, providing guidance and support on transfusion laboratory operations and best practices.
- Create and maintain educational resources, including manuals, presentations, and online learning modules.
- Plan and facilitate workshops, seminars, and other educational events for staff development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and organizations to enhance educational opportunities.
- Participate in research projects and contribute to scholarly publications related to transfusion laboratory operations and education.
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and ensure educational programs are in compliance.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify education and training needs and develop strategies to address them.
- Stay current on advancements in education technology and incorporate into educational materials and programs.
- Mentor and train other education staff within the Transfusion Lab.
- Serve as an ambassador for Mayo Clinic, promoting our mission and values through education and training initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field.
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) By A Nationally Recognized Agency, Such As Ascp.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Transfusion Laboratory Setting, With A Strong Understanding Of Blood Bank Procedures And Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Educate Patients And Staff On Transfusion-Related Topics.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Laboratory Data And Troubleshoot Technical Issues.
