  1. Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans to support the mission and goals of Mayo Clinic.
  2. Lead and manage a team of development professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to achieve fundraising objectives.
  3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors, community leaders, and other stakeholders to secure major gifts and major donor partnerships.
  4. Create and oversee the implementation of fundraising campaigns and initiatives, including donor recognition programs, special events, and planned giving opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to identify and prioritize fundraising needs and opportunities.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovative strategies to enhance the effectiveness of fundraising efforts.
  7. Develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately and all expenses are within budget.
  8. Provide regular reports and updates on fundraising progress to senior leadership, board members, and other stakeholders.
  9. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to fundraising activities.
  10. Represent Mayo Clinic at community events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to promote the organization’s mission and fundraising objectives.
  11. Continuously monitor and evaluate the success of fundraising efforts and make adjustments as needed to meet goals and objectives.
  12. Foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization, promoting the importance of giving and providing opportunities for staff and volunteers to participate in fundraising activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In Fundraising And Development, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.

  • Advanced Degree In A Related Field Such As Business, Marketing, Or Healthcare Administration.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing A Team Of Development Professionals.

  • Strong Understanding Of Philanthropic Trends And Strategies, With Experience In Major Gift Solicitation And Planned Giving.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Donors And Key Stakeholders.
