
Development Assistant Director - Central Region

- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the advancement of medical research and patient care at Mayo Clinic's Central Region.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and cultivate potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors to secure financial support for Mayo Clinic's initiatives.
- Coordinate and oversee fundraising events and campaigns, including donor cultivation events, galas, and online fundraising campaigns.
- Manage and track donor contributions and maintain accurate donor records.
- Conduct research on potential donors to identify their philanthropic interests and giving capacity.
- Work closely with the development team to create compelling fundraising materials, including proposals, presentations, and reports.
- Collaborate with other departments within Mayo Clinic to identify fundraising needs and opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in development and healthcare to inform fundraising strategies.
- Represent Mayo Clinic at external events and meetings to promote fundraising efforts and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders.
- Train and supervise development staff to ensure they are equipped to effectively support fundraising efforts.
- Monitor and report on key fundraising metrics and outcomes to leadership.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all fundraising activities.
- Continuously seek out new opportunities for fundraising and revenue generation.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Mayo Clinic's values and mission in all aspects of the role.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Development Or Fundraising Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Philanthropy And Fundraising Principles, Including Major Gift Solicitation And Donor Stewardship.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders.
Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience Managing And Mentoring A Team, As Well As The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
