
Construction Coordinator - Facilities & Campus Management

- Oversee and manage all construction projects across the Mayo Clinic campus, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines, and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Proactively identify and resolve any project delays or issues, and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to review plans and specifications, and provide input and suggestions for improvement.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project timelines.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to construction management, and make recommendations for improvements to processes and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between the Facilities & Campus Management team and other departments, providing updates and addressing any concerns or issues related to construction projects.
- Mentor and train junior staff members on construction management processes and procedures, and provide guidance and support when needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and other project-related documents.
- Ensure that all construction projects comply with Mayo Clinic's mission, values, and standards for patient care and safety.
- Continuously monitor project budgets and expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among all project team members.
- Attend regular team and department meetings, and provide updates on project progress, challenges, and successes.
Bachelor's Degree In Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Construction Coordination And Project Management.
Strong Knowledge Of Construction Processes, Building Codes, And Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Contractors, Vendors, And Other Stakeholders.
Familiarity With Project Management Software And Ability To Create And Manage Project Budgets And Schedules.
