- Greet and welcome patients and their families to the Radiation Oncology department with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Provide personalized assistance and support to patients and their families throughout their radiation treatment experience.
- Anticipate and proactively address the needs of patients and their families, going above and beyond to ensure a positive and comfortable experience.
- Serve as a point of contact and resource for patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless and coordinated care for patients.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the department's services and resources in order to effectively assist and guide patients.
- Provide guidance and support to patients and their families in navigating the healthcare system, including scheduling appointments and coordinating transportation.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times, fostering a supportive and caring environment for patients and their families.
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions and any assistance provided in order to ensure continuity of care.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to the department on ways to enhance the patient experience.
- Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality guidelines to protect the sensitive information of patients and their families.
- Attend departmental meetings and trainings to stay updated on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments and resources within Mayo Clinic to ensure the highest level of care and support for patients.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote the services and resources of the Radiation Oncology department.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Management Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Radiation Oncology
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Staff
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Related To Radiation Oncology
Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Maintaining A High Level Of Professionalism And Attention To Detail.
