Advanced Nursing Degree: A Clinical Nurse Specialist At Mayo Clinic Is Required To Have A Master's Degree In Nursing Or A Doctor Of Nursing Practice (Dnp) Degree. This Advanced Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Role Effectively.
Specialty Certification: Candidates Must Have A Valid Certification As A Clinical Nurse Specialist In Their Area Of Specialty From A Recognized Certification Body Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc).
