- Perform quality assurance tests on all radiation therapy equipment to ensure safe and accurate delivery of treatment to patients.
- Develop and implement new treatment techniques and protocols to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans and radiation doses delivered.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations related to radiation safety.
- Provide education and training to staff and other healthcare professionals on radiation safety and treatment techniques.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon current processes and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in medical physics and radiation therapy technology through attending conferences, workshops, and self-study.
- Participate in research projects and clinical trials to advance the field of medical physics.
- Act as a resource for colleagues and provide guidance and support as needed.
Possess A Masters Or Phd Degree In Medical Physics Or Related Field From An Accredited University.
Certification By The American Board Of Radiology (Abr) In Therapeutic Medical Physics Or Diagnostic Medical Physics.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Large Academic Medical Center.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Medical Physics Principles, Including Radiation Therapy, Imaging, And Radiation Safety.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Physicians, Technologists, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
