- Provide comprehensive and personalized care to women and their families throughout the pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health and medical history to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients on prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum care, and provide resources and support to promote healthy outcomes.
- Perform routine prenatal exams, including physical exams, ultrasounds, and lab tests.
- Monitor and assist with the progress of labor, including administering medications and providing emotional support.
- Provide guidance and support to new mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to identify and manage any complications during pregnancy and childbirth.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and document all care provided.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Uphold the code of ethics and standards of practice for certified nurse midwives.
