  1. Provide support in various laboratory settings, including but not limited to phlebotomy, specimen processing, and laboratory testing.
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills as a Certified Medical Assistant to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care and efficient workflow.
  4. Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
  5. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
  6. Accurately record and report test results and maintain patient records.
  7. Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide excellent customer service.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Certification From The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met National Standards For Medical Assisting And Is Equipped With The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job.

  • Clinical Experience: The Candidate Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant, Preferably In A Lab Or Clinical Setting. This Experience Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment Used In A Laboratory Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Lab Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Lab Procedures And Protocols, Including Specimen Collection, Processing, And Handling. They Should Also Be Familiar With Laboratory Equipment And Safety Precautions To Ensure Accuracy And Quality Control.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For A Lab Support Float Pool Medical Assistant. They Will Be Working With A Diverse Team Of Healthcare Professionals And Patients, So The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Build Relationships Is Crucial.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Candidate Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Situations And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment. As A Float Pool Medical Assistant, They May Be Required To Work In Different Departments Or Locations, So Flexibility And Adaptability Are Key Qualities For Success In This Role.
