  1. Perform a variety of cardiac invasive procedures, including but not limited to cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and ablation procedures.
  2. Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any changes in their condition.
  3. Operate and maintain equipment used in cardiac procedures, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  7. Assist in the training and mentoring of other staff members, including new hires and students.
  8. Stay up-to-date on advancements in cardiovascular technology and procedures, and implement new techniques and protocols as needed.
  9. Educate patients and their families about procedures, risks, and aftercare instructions.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize department operations.
  11. Be available for on-call and emergency procedures as needed.
  12. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  13. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  14. Attend required training and continuing education programs to maintain necessary certifications and licenses.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Rcis) Or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (Rces).

  • Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In An Invasive Cardiac Lab Setting, Preferably In A Heart Rhythm Services Department.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Cardiac Catheterization Equipment, Including Electrophysiology Mapping Systems And Intracardiac Echocardiography.

  • Knowledge Of Cardiac Arrhythmias And The Ability To Assist In The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Complex Heart Rhythm Disorders.
