Job Description

In this role, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to improve cancer outcomes for underserved populations by coordinating and supporting various research projects.   1. Coordinate and manage various research projects related to cancer health equity, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project goals and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and community partners to implement and evaluate interventions aimed at improving cancer outcomes for underserved populations.
  3. Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and other project management tools to track progress and ensure efficient use of resources.
  4. Monitor project activities and provide regular updates to the research team, identifying and addressing any potential issues or delays.
  5. Collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and assist with manuscript development and submission.
  6. Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and external stakeholders, promoting a team-based approach to research.
  7. Conduct literature reviews and assist with the development of research proposals and grant applications.
  8. Participate in educational and outreach activities to raise awareness about cancer health equity and promote the team's research initiatives.
  9. Maintain accurate and complete records of project activities, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
  10. Stay abreast of current research and best practices in the field of cancer health equity and contribute to the team's continuous learning and improvement efforts.
  11. Uphold Mayo Clinic's values and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
  12. Other duties as assigned by the research team leader.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Public Health, Public Policy, Or A Related Field With A Focus On Health Equity Or Cancer Health Disparities.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Program Coordination, Project Management, Or Research Related To Cancer Health Equity.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Cancer Health Disparities And The Social Determinants Of Health.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Community-Based Initiatives Aimed At Reducing Cancer Health Disparities.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Partnerships With Diverse Stakeholders Including Community Organizations, Researchers, And Healthcare Professionals.
