Bioinformatics Intern

The Mayo Clinic is seeking a motivated and highly organized Bioinformatics Intern to assist in the development and execution of bioinformatics strategies and initiatives. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving and research skills, as well as a strong knowledge of bioinformatics tools, techniques, and approaches. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data-driven science, have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and be an effective communicator. The successful candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering or a related field. Prior experience in bioinformatics, data analysis, or programming is preferred. Candidates with strong experience in statistics, machine learning, and/or software development are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for working with large datasets, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Finally, the successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of data privacy, security, and quality control.
