  1. Provide hands-on care for a variety of animal patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  2. Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of animal patients, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
  3. Assist in the handling and restraint of animals during procedures and examinations.
  4. Maintain accurate records of animal treatments, procedures, and observations.
  5. Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to supervising veterinarians.
  6. Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of animal enclosures and facility areas.
  7. Assist in the preparation and distribution of animal diets and special diets as prescribed by veterinarians.
  8. Collaborate with veterinary staff to develop and implement enrichment activities for animal patients.
  9. Provide guidance and training to volunteers and students on proper animal handling and care techniques.
  10. Comply with all safety regulations and protocols to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff.
  11. Stay up-to-date on best practices and advancements in animal care and welfare.
  12. Foster a positive and professional working relationship with all members of the animal care team.
  13. Uphold the values and mission of Mayo Clinic by demonstrating compassion and empathy towards both humans and animal patients.
  14. Participate in meetings and training sessions to continuously improve and enhance animal care services.
  15. Communicate effectively with team members and veterinarians to ensure the highest level of care for animal patients.

  • Experience Working With Animals In A Laboratory Or Clinical Setting
