- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Ambulatory Dialysis department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of care to patients with kidney disease.
- Lead and supervise a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality patient care and professional development.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for patients, taking into consideration their unique needs and medical history.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursing team, providing constructive feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff members.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and orientation of new nursing staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
- Conduct regular meetings and provide ongoing education and training opportunities for staff to promote their professional growth and development.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and ensure that all records are kept confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Serve as a liaison between the Ambulatory Dialysis department and other departments within the hospital to facilitate seamless coordination of patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements and changes in the field of dialysis nursing, incorporating evidence-based practices into the department's operations.
- Foster a culture of compassion, empathy, and patient-centered care, ensuring that the needs and preferences of patients and their families are met.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall patient experience.
- Handle any patient or staff concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner, working towards a resolution while maintaining a positive and respectful demeanor.
- Represent the Mayo Clinic and the Ambulatory Dialysis department in a professional and positive manner, both internally and externally.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) Licensure In The State Of Employment
Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Or Higher From An Accredited Institution
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Dialysis Nursing
Previous Leadership Or Supervisory Experience In A Healthcare Setting
