- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients with respiratory issues, utilizing advanced knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and utilize critical thinking skills to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer and monitor therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, such as oxygen therapy, pulmonary function tests, and bronchoscopies.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to patient emergencies and provide immediate respiratory support as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including assessment findings, treatments, and progress.
- Stay up-to-date on current respiratory therapies, technologies, and best practices through ongoing education and training.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to respiratory care.
- Mentor and train other respiratory therapy staff, including students and new hires.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and promoting patient and staff safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Proactively identify and address potential patient care issues and escalate concerns to appropriate parties.
- Demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field
Active Licensure As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt)
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist, With At Least 2 Years In An Acute Care Setting
Certification In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals)
Strong Critical Thinking Skills And Ability To Work Independently In A Fast-Paced Environment
