  1. Conduct surgical pathology examinations and provide accurate and timely diagnoses for patient samples.
  2. Collaborate with other pathologists and physicians to discuss and review cases, as well as contribute to multidisciplinary treatment plans.
  3. Participate in research projects and contribute to the advancement of the field of pathology.
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements and trends in surgical pathology and incorporate them into daily practice.
  5. Deliver exceptional patient care by providing compassionate and accurate diagnoses.
  6. Contribute to teaching and mentoring activities for medical students, residents, and fellows.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all pathology reports.
  8. Adhere to all standard safety procedures and protocols in the laboratory.
  9. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  10. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with colleagues, patients, and families.
  11. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in all aspects of the job.
  12. Possess a strong academic background and continuously strive for professional development.

  14. Maintain appropriate licensure and certifications.

Job Qualifications
  • Board Certification In Anatomic Pathology And/Or Clinical Pathology From The American Board Of Pathology.

  • Completion Of A Fellowship In Surgical Pathology Or A Related Subspecialty, Such As Gastrointestinal Pathology Or Breast Pathology.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Pathologist, Preferably In An Academic Medical Center Setting.

  • Demonstrated Excellence In Diagnostic Skills, Including Proficiency In Gross And Microscopic Examination As Well As Use Of Ancillary Techniques, Such As Immunohistochemistry And Molecular Testing.

  • Proven Track Record Of Scholarly Activity, Including Publications In Peer-Reviewed Journals And Presentations At National Conferences.
