You will be responsible for enhancing Mastercard's reputation and brand through effective communication and engagement with key stakeholders, including policymakers, media, industry associations, and non-governmental organizations.To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of policy issues and government relations, and a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.   1. Develop and implement comprehensive policy communication and corporate affairs strategies to enhance Mastercard's reputation and brand.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including policymakers, media, industry associations, and non-governmental organizations.
  3. Serve as a spokesperson for Mastercard on policy issues, effectively communicating the company's positions and values.
  4. Monitor and analyze policy and regulatory developments that may impact Mastercard's business and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute communication plans for key initiatives and announcements.
  6. Manage crisis communications and issues management, ensuring timely and effective responses to potential reputational risks.
  7. Develop and maintain a network of thought leaders and influencers to support Mastercard's advocacy efforts.
  8. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on policy and corporate affairs matters.
  9. Oversee the creation of impactful and engaging content for various communication channels, including social media, press releases, op-eds, and speeches.
  10. Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in policy communications and corporate affairs, and proactively incorporate them into strategies.
  11. Lead and mentor a team of policy communication professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  12. Represent Mastercard at industry conferences, events, and other external engagements as needed.
  13. Continuously monitor and measure the effectiveness of policy communication and corporate affairs strategies and make adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  14. Foster a culture of inclusion and diversity within the team and across the organization.
  15. Uphold Mastercard's values and commitment to creating a more inclusive and sustainable world in all interactions and communications.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, Or Related Field.

  • Strong Understanding Of Policy Issues And Regulatory Landscape In The Financial Services Industry.

  • Proven Experience Developing And Executing Successful Communication Strategies In A Global Organization.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Information To Various Audiences.
