- Develop and implement a comprehensive information security engineering strategy that aligns with Mastercard's overall business goals and objectives.
- Lead a team of information security engineers and provide direction, guidance, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of security systems, processes, and protocols to protect Mastercard's data and infrastructure.
- Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of existing security measures, identifying and addressing any vulnerabilities or risks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to Mastercard's security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into new and existing systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to effectively communicate security updates, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Create and manage the information security engineering budget, making strategic investments to enhance Mastercard's security capabilities.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for any security incidents, leading the response and recovery efforts.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization.
- Proactively identify and address emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies.
- Represent Mastercard at industry events and conferences, sharing knowledge and expertise on information security engineering.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to leverage their expertise and resources to improve Mastercard's security posture.
- Uphold Mastercard's values and code of conduct, promoting a culture of ethics and accountability within the information security engineering team.
Extensive Experience In Information Security Engineering: A Qualified Candidate For Vice President, Information Security Engineering At Mastercard Should Have A Proven Track Record In Leading And Managing Information Security Engineering Teams. They Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In This Field, With A Deep Understanding Of Security Principles, Frameworks, And Industry Best Practices.
Strong Technical Background: The Vice President, Information Security Engineering Should Possess A Strong Technical Background In Areas Such As Network Security, Application Security, Cryptography, And Cloud Security.
