  1. Develop and implement government engagement strategies for Latin America and the Caribbean in alignment with company objectives.
  2. Represent Mastercard in interactions with government officials at all levels in the region.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, regulators, and industry associations.
  4. Stay updated on political and economic developments in the region and provide insights to the company on potential impacts.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure government engagement strategies are aligned with product and business strategies.
  6. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments in the region and provide recommendations to the company on potential actions and responses.
  7. Conduct regular meetings, briefings, and events to engage with government officials and stakeholders.
  8. Work with local teams to support government relations efforts at the country level.
  9. Provide guidance and support to local teams on government engagement issues.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on government relations in the region, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  11. Represent Mastercard in industry associations and other relevant forums in the region.
  12. Monitor and manage the company's reputation and relationships with key government stakeholders in the region.
  13. Develop and maintain a network of key government contacts in the region.
  14. Collaborate with global government relations team members to share best practices and ensure consistent approach and messaging.
  15. Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on government engagement activities and outcomes in the region.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Government Relations And Public Policy In Latin America And The Caribbean Region.

  • Strong Understanding Of The Political Landscape And Regulatory Environment In Latin America And The Caribbean.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Building And Maintaining Relationships With Government Officials And Stakeholders At All Levels.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Advocate For Mastercard's Interests And Navigate Complex Political And Regulatory Issues.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of The Payments Industry And Experience Working In A Multinational Corporation, Preferably Within The Financial Services Sector.
