  1. Develop and maintain mainframe systems for efficient and effective operations.
  2. Test and troubleshoot mainframe applications to identify and resolve any issues.

  4. Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
  5. Conduct system analysis and propose recommendations for improvements.
  6. Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in mainframe development and testing.
  7. Perform code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  8. Create and maintain technical documentation for mainframe systems.
  9. Participate in project planning and provide accurate time estimates for development and testing tasks.
  10. Mentor and train junior developers on mainframe development and testing.
  11. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
  12. Proactively identify and report any risks or issues related to mainframe development and testing.
  13. Participate in Agile development processes and ceremonies.
  14. Collaborate with quality assurance team to ensure high-quality and bug-free code.
  15. Work independently and in a team environment to meet project deadlines.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With Mainframe Development And Testing: A Senior Engineer - Mainframe Developer & Tester At Mastercard Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working With Mainframe Technologies, Such As Cobol, Jcl, And Db2. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Mainframe Testing Methodologies And Tools.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Engineer, This Individual Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Resolve Complex Issues Related To Mainframe Development And Testing. They Should Also Be Able To Think Critically And Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure.

  • Knowledge Of Payment Processing Systems: Mastercard Is A Global Leader In Payment Processing, And A Senior Engineer - Mainframe Developer & Tester Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Company's Payment Systems And Processes. This Includes Knowledge Of Payment Protocols, Security Standards, And Industry Regulations.

  • Leadership And Project Management Skills: A Senior Engineer At Mastercard Is Expected To Lead And Manage Projects Related To Mainframe Development And Testing. They Should Have Experience In Leading A Team, Delegating Tasks, Setting Project Timelines, And Ensuring Successful Project Delivery.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Senior Engineer, This Individual Will Be Required To Collaborate With Various Teams, Including Developers, Testers, And Business Stakeholders.
