Job Description

At Mastercard, we are looking for a Lead, Big Data Analytics & Engineering who can lead our data engineering and analytics initiatives. The Lead will be a strategic thought partner to our data science team and drive the development of our Big Data platform. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of Big Data, data engineering, and analytics.The Lead will need to bring to the table strong technical acumen in designing and developing data engineering solutions. They should be comfortable working with a variety of data formats and have the ability to interpret large amounts of data and develop insights and recommendations. The ideal candidate should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the success of the project.If you are a data-driven, strategic problem solver with a passion for making an impact, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development of Mastercard's Big Data platform.
  2. Build, design, and develop data engineering solutions.
  3. Interpret large amounts of data and develop insights and recommendations.
  4. Work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure project success.
  5. Act as a strategic thought partner to the data science team.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation.
  7. Prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership.
  8. Monitor the progress of data engineering and analytics initiatives.
  9. Identify and address potential issues or risks with data engineering solutions.
  10. Ensure compliance with relevant data laws and regulations.
