- Develop and implement strategies for preventing and detecting financial crimes in the open banking landscape.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes related to open banking and financial crime risk management.
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including product development, legal, and compliance, to ensure open banking solutions are secure and compliant.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, industry associations, and partner organizations.
- Lead a team of financial crime risk management professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and achieve team goals.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities in open banking processes and systems.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify patterns and anomalies that could indicate potential financial crimes, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on open banking-related financial crime risks and mitigation efforts.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance financial crime risk management in the open banking space.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to open banking and financial crime risk management.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in the financial industry and utilize this knowledge to inform decisions and strategies related to open banking.
Extensive Experience In Financial Crime Risk Management: A Qualified Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Financial Crime Risk Management, Preferably In The Banking Or Financial Services Industry. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Types Of Financial Crimes, Such As Money Laundering, Fraud, And Terrorist Financing, As Well As Experience In Implementing Risk Management Strategies To Mitigate These Risks.
Knowledge Of Open Banking Regulations And Trends: As The Director Of Open Banking, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing Mastercard's Compliance With Open Banking Regulations And Staying Up-To-Date On Industry Trends. Therefore, They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Open Banking Regulations, Such As Psd2 And Gdpr, And Be Able To Identify Potential Risks And Opportunities For Mastercard In This Space.
Leadership And Strategic Thinking Skills: This Role Will Involve Leading A Team And Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams Within Mastercard. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Motivate And Guide Their Team Towards Achieving Organizational Goals. They Should Also Possess Strong Strategic Thinking Skills And Be Able To Develop And Implement Long-Term Plans For Open Banking And Financial Crime Risk Management.
