- Lead and manage all tax-related aspects of investment strategies and initiatives for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize investment returns and minimize tax liabilities
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of investment tax regulations and stay updated on any changes or developments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and investment teams, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and processes
- Prepare and review complex tax calculations, projections, and reports to support investment decisions and strategic initiatives
- Proactively identify and communicate potential tax risks and opportunities to senior management and provide recommendations for mitigation or optimization
- Manage and coordinate tax audits and inquiries from regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations
- Effectively communicate and build relationships with external tax advisors and other third-party partners
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals to ensure high-quality work and professional development opportunities
- Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Extensive Knowledge Of Tax Laws And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Federal And State Tax Laws, As Well As The Ability To Stay Updated On Any Changes Or Updates To These Laws.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Tax Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Resolving Complex Tax Issues And Developing Strategic Initiatives. They Should Have Excellent Analytical Abilities And Be Able To Think Critically To Solve Problems.
Experience In Project Management: The Role Of An Investment Tax Manager Will Involve Overseeing And Managing Various Tax-Related Projects. The Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Project Management And The Ability To Effectively Lead A Team To Successful Project Completion.
