- Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals of the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship program at MIT.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Fellowship program, including managing the budget and resources, and ensuring program goals and objectives are met.
- Collaborate with the Fellowship team to design and implement innovative programming and initiatives that support the growth and development of science journalists.
- Lead the recruitment and selection process for Fellows, ensuring a diverse and talented cohort each year.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, media outlets, and other stakeholders to enhance the program's impact and reach.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Fellows throughout the program, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the current media landscape and the challenges and opportunities facing science journalism.
- Represent the Fellowship program at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities to promote the program and engage with the larger science journalism community.
- Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and innovation within the Fellowship program.
- Regularly evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the program, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments as needed.
Advanced Degree In Journalism, Science Communication, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Journalism Or Science Communication, With A Focus On Science And Technology
Demonstrated Success In Developing And Implementing Innovative Science Journalism Projects And Programs
Strong Network And Relationships Within The Science Journalism Community
