Campus Safety Officer

Patrols assigned areas on foot to ensure that personnel, buildings and equipment are safe and secure. Patrols and monitors housing areas to provide public security and assistance when needed. Remains vigilant at all times and maintains a visible presence. Monitors activities at the main gate, which includes random vehicle searches, visitor and vendor check ins, performing ID checks, monitoring CCTV system and maintain radio contact with roving officer. Remains alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or policy code violators; approaches suspicious persons and/or notifies police as appropriate. Available to work other schedules and special campus events, often on weekends.
