Mars Incorporated is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Collections Management Intern for the Summer 2025 Mars Museum.As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our renowned team of experts in the fields of space exploration and collections management. This internship will provide hands-on experience in the curation and preservation of artifacts and specimens collected during our missions to Mars.We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn and contribute to our mission of preserving the history of Mars.   1. Assist in the curation and preservation of artifacts and specimens collected during missions to Mars.
  2. Work closely with experts in the fields of space exploration and collections management to gain hands-on experience and knowledge.
  3. Ensure proper documentation and cataloging of all artifacts and specimens.
  4. Handle and store artifacts and specimens with care and follow established protocols for their preservation.
  5. Conduct research and provide input on the historical significance of artifacts and specimens.
  6. Collaborate with team members to develop innovative ways to display and present artifacts and specimens for public viewing.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure the safety and preservation of artifacts and specimens.
  8. Assist in the planning and execution of events and exhibits related to the Mars Museum.
  9. Participate in training and educational programs to further develop knowledge and skills in collections management and space exploration.
  10. Adhere to all safety and security procedures to ensure the protection of artifacts and specimens.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to provide updates on the progress of projects and tasks.
  12. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  13. Represent Mars Incorporated and the Mars Museum in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  14. Contribute to the overall mission of preserving the history of Mars through dedication and enthusiasm for the role.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Museum Studies, History, Anthropology, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Understanding Of Collections Management Principles And Practices.

  • Previous Experience Working With Museum Collections, Including Cataloguing, Inventory, And Preservation.

  • Familiarity With Database Management Systems And Proficiency In Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail.
