  1. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to food safety, quality, and labeling.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, staying informed on any changes or updates that may impact our products.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and legal, to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  4. Review and approve product labels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all labeling regulations.
  5. Conduct thorough and comprehensive scientific assessments of ingredients, products, and processes to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  6. Create and maintain detailed documentation and reports related to scientific and regulatory affairs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  7. Participate in internal and external audits, providing expertise and support in all matters related to scientific and regulatory affairs.
  8. Coordinate and facilitate communication and collaboration with external partners, such as suppliers and contract manufacturers, to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  9. Identify potential risks or issues related to regulatory compliance and work proactively to address and resolve them.
  10. Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in science and regulatory affairs, providing recommendations and suggestions for continuous improvement within the company.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field Such As Food Science, Nutrition, Or Chemistry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Experience With Relevant Agencies Such As Fda, Usda, And Health Canada.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Similar Role Within The Food Industry, Preferably With A Focus On Pet Food.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.

  • Knowledge Of Current Industry Trends And Ability To Stay Updated On Regulatory Changes And Developments In The Scientific Field.
