- Develop and implement scientific and regulatory strategies for Mars, Incorporated products.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to ensure product safety, quality, and compliance.
- Conduct research and provide technical expertise on food, petcare, and confectionery industry regulations.
- Work closely with external stakeholders, including government agencies and industry associations, to stay informed and compliant with changing regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest scientific developments and trends in food safety and regulatory affairs.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory documents and reports to relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive innovation and growth through new product development and improvements to existing products.
- Analyze and interpret scientific data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Train and mentor junior team members on scientific and regulatory processes and procedures.
- Represent Mars, Incorporated in industry conferences and events to promote the company's scientific and regulatory initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in meeting regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Communicate complex scientific and regulatory information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Proactively identify potential risks and address any issues that may arise in product safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all scientific and regulatory activities and documentation.
Advanced Degree In A Related Scientific Field (E.g. Food Science, Nutrition, Biology)
Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In Scientific And Regulatory Affairs, Preferably In The Food Industry
In-Depth Knowledge Of Global Food Regulations And Standards
Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders.
