As the Microbiology Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products through the management of our microbiology laboratory.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the microbiology laboratory.
  2. Develop and implement microbiology testing protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and quality of our products.
  3. Train and supervise laboratory technicians and other staff members to ensure accurate and efficient execution of microbiological testing.
  4. Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and inventory to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards related to microbiology and ensure compliance within the laboratory.
  6. Analyze and interpret microbiological test results and communicate findings to relevant departments.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  8. Continuously evaluate and improve laboratory processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external laboratories for outsourcing of specialized testing.
  10. Provide technical expertise and support to other departments regarding microbiological issues.
  11. Monitor and manage the budget for the microbiology laboratory.
  12. Mentor and develop team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  13. Conduct performance evaluations and handle any disciplinary actions as needed.
  14. Represent the company in external audits and regulatory inspections related to microbiology.
  15. Collaborate with research and development teams to support new product development and launch.
  16. Act as a champion for quality, innovation, and sustainability within the microbiology department and the company as a whole.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Microbiology Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Microbiology Laboratory, Preferably In A Food Or Beverage Industry

  • Strong Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Industry Standards, Such As Haccp And Fda Guidelines

  • Experience Managing A Team Of Microbiologists And Overseeing Laboratory Operations

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Mentor Staff, As Well As Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
