- Develop and implement microbiological testing protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and quality of our food products.
- Oversee the operation of the microbiology laboratory and manage a team of microbiologists to ensure accurate and timely testing results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards related to food microbiology and ensure compliance within the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any microbiological issues within our manufacturing processes.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of our facilities to identify potential areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on microbiological trends and provide recommendations for improvement to upper management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external laboratories and vendors for testing and research purposes.
- Train and educate employees on food safety and proper microbiological practices to ensure a company-wide understanding and adherence to protocols.
- Continuously review and improve our microbiological testing methods and procedures to maintain effectiveness and efficiency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all microbiological matters and provide guidance and support to other departments within the company.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Microbiology, Biology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In A Microbiology Laboratory Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Microbiological Techniques, Methods, And Instrumentation.
Experience With Food Safety And Quality Assurance Protocols, Including Haccp And Gmp.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Mentor A Team.
