Job Description

At Mars, Incorporated, we are looking for a highly motivated and organized Category Analyst to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an analytical thinker and strategic problem solver who is passionate about using data to drive insights and outcomes.The Category Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting syndicated data and developing actionable insights to influence and optimize Category Management and Shopper Marketing strategies. The successful candidate will be an expert in developing category strategies that align with company goals, driving customer loyalty and optimizing business growth.The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, as well as 3-5 years of experience in a category management or shopper marketing role. Previous experience in analyzing and interpreting syndicated data and developing insights for category and shopper marketing strategies is essential. Additionally, the successful candidate should have strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex information in a simple, clear, and concise manner. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (e.g. SPSS) is required.If you are an analytical-minded, strategic problem solver with a passion for category and shopper marketing, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities of a Category Analyst:

-Analyze and interpret syndicated data to develop actionable insights that influence and optimize Category Management and Shopper Marketing strategies -Develop category strategies that align with company goals, drive customer loyalty, and optimize business growth -Present complex information in a simple, clear, and concise manner -Prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations on category and shopper marketing strategies -Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new opportunities for category growth -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of category and shopper marketing strategies -Utilize Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SPSS) to develop analysis and insights -Identify and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of category and shopper marketing strategies
-Keep up to date with industry best practices and the latest trends in category and shopper marketing strategies
