Job Description

As an eCommerce Technical Lead for Mars, Incorporated, you will be responsible for driving our global eCommerce initiatives and overseeing the backend engineering teams. You will use your technical expertise to ensure that our eCommerce systems are reliable, secure, and operating at peak performance.The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned software engineering professional, with a strong technical background and a proven track record of successful software development projects. You have a passion for driving efficiency and have a deep understanding of backend technologies and server architectures. You have strong leadership skills and the ability to drive teams of engineers to deliver complex projects on time, and in a quality manner.You will bring a combination of strong technical and interpersonal skills to this role, and be able to effectively lead, mentor, and motivate your team. You will be a natural problem solver and have the ability to think outside the box to provide innovative solutions. You will also have strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise way, and be able to collaborate with other technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage eCommerce backend engineering teams to ensure successful completion of projects.
  2. Utilize technical expertise to ensure that eCommerce systems are reliable, secure, and operating at peak performance.
  3. Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve system efficiency.
  4. Research and develop new technologies to improve eCommerce system performance.
  5. Mentor and motivate team members to ensure successful completion of projects.
  6. Maintain a deep understanding of backend technologies and server architectures.
  7. Collaborate with other technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects.
  8. Track and monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management.
  9. Ensure that software development projects are completed on time and in a quality manner.
  10. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise way.
