Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and creative Textile Designer to join the Marc Jacobs team and help bring our fashion vision to life. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external teams. As a Textile Designer, you will be responsible for creating fabric patterns for apparel, accessories, and home décor.To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have a strong knowledge of textile design principles, a passion for fashion, and an appreciation for the Marc Jacobs aesthetic. You should be experienced in creating new designs and adapting existing ones to meet the needs of the brand. A degree in Fashion Design or Textile Design is preferred, but a combination of relevant work experience and creative talent will also be considered.If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop unique fabric patterns for apparel, accessories, and home décor that align with the Marc Jacobs aesthetic.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure designs meet the needs of the brand.
  3. Stay up-to-date on fashion trends and utilize knowledge of textile design principles to create new designs and modify existing ones.
  4. Utilize excellent communication skills to ensure designs are clearly communicated and understood.
  5. Monitor the effectiveness of designs through customer feedback and adjust as needed.
  6. Ensure that designs are completed on time and within budget.
  7. Maintain an organized system for tracking and filing all designs.
